7th straight for Miller
For a 7th straight Monday, Ryan Miller of
the Buffalo Sabres is the Goalies’World rankings leader with a 25-8-3, .935,
2.05, record, leading the NHL in goals-against average, save percentage and
shutouts (5). He’s now showing 10522 GW computer points, an 89-point lead over
Miikka Kiprusoff of the Calgary Flames. Miller had another solid week, turning
in a 2-0-0, .944, 2.52 record, including a 48 saves, 3-2 home win against the
Leafs who threw 50 shots at him.

Ducks win 4 with Jonas
Hiller
What a week that was for the Anaheim Ducks and their
Swiss goaltender, Jonas Hiller. Hiller led the Ducks to four straight wins,
stopping 125 of 131 shots for a 4-0-0, .954, 1.50 record. Hiller has started
seve of the last eight games for the Ducks, clearly establishing himself as the
Ducks number one goaltender. He is now 14th in our rankings with a
15-12-2, .916,2.78 record.

Jimmy Howard makes 50
saves
Jimmy Howard, of the Detroit Red Wings, is the
Goalies’World Magazine stealer of the week because of his heroic 50 saves
performance against the Los Angeles Kings that came on Thursday in L.A. The Red
Wings were outshot 52-24 but left the building with a 2-1 stolen win, thanks ro
Howard. Two days later in San Jose, Howard recorded another stolen win as the
Wings were outshot 32-22 in a 4-1 win over the Sharks.
