Ryan Miller is our new
leader
We have a new leader this Monday, November 16th, on top of the Goalies’World rankings and it’s the Buffalo Sabres stopper Ryan Miller who boasts a fantastic 12-2-1, .939, 1.77 record.. The American goaltender stopped 82 of 86 shots this week for a perfect 3-0-0, .953, 1.31 record. Miller moved past our two previous leaders, Anterro Niittymaki (Tampa Bay and Craig Anderson (Colorado)

Kiprusoff takes our
weekly award
Miikka Kiprusoff, of the Calgary Flames, is the
Goalies’World goalie of the week with a 2-0-1, .969, 0.97 record, edging Ryan
Miller and Martin Brodeur. Kipper signed a 1-0, 25 saves shutout on Tuesday in
Montreal and two days later in Buffalo he stopped 32 of 33 shots in 65 minutes
of play before losing the shootout to our new leader, Ryan Miller. Kiprusoff
was rock solid two days later in Toronto, stopping 38 of 40 shots in a 5-2
stolen win against the Leafs. The Flames were outshot 40-22.

Vokoun signs a 40
saves shutout
Tomas Vokoun was just awesome in goal for the Florida
Panthers on Thursday night in Boston where the Panthers were outshot 40-23.
Vokoun was perfect and the Cats escaped with a 1-0 stolen win. No other team
was as badly outshot as the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night in Nashville
where the Preds beat the Habs 2-0 after outshooting them 55-20. Carey Price
established a franchise record 53 saves despite the loss.

Three wins for Jimmy
Howard
With Chris Osgood sick, Jimmy Howard got three starts
this week, all wins. The Detroit Red Wings goaltender stopped 75 of 81 shots
for a 3-0-0, .926, 2.01 records. The Wings killed the Blue Jackets 9-1 (25
saves) in Columbus on Wednesday before winning two games at home. The Wings
beat Vancouver3-1 (31 saves) and Anaheim 7-4 (19 saves).
