Craig Anderson still
in the lead
Craig Anderson, of the Colorado Avalanche leads the
Goalies’World Magazine computer Rankings for a second straight week with a
fabulous 10-3-2, .936, 2.11 record. Again, Anderson was solid in goal this week with a 2-2, .935, 2.02
record. He’s followed by Ryan
Miller and Ilya Bryzgalov..

Pekka Rinne bests them
all
There were many hot goalies this week in the NHL but
our main honor goes to Pekka Rinne, of the Nashville Predators who stopped 61
of 63 shots for a 3-0, .968, 0,77 record. Rinne’s first win of the week came in
relief duties on Wednesday in Minnesota. The next night in Nashville he shut
out the Chicago Blackhawks in a 2-0, 22 saves win, and on Saturday, he had the
top hand over the Dallas Stars, in a 4-2, 27 saves home win.

Ondrej Pavelec makes
50 saves
The Atlanta Thrashers 22-year old rookie, Ondrej
Pavelec, is our stealer of the week following a 50-save effort on Saturday in
Ottawa where he led the Thrashers to a 3-1 stolen win over the Senators who
outshot 51-21.

Our stealer of the week, Ondrej Pavelec is also our
rookie goalie of the week. Besides his 50-save effort in a 2-1 win over Ottawa
on Saturday, Pavelec also played another game, a 3-1 home loss against the
Washington Capitals. Pavelec was solid in the loss with a 28-save efforts.
